I saw a few positive readings over Metro on Wunderground, but perhaps those are overexposed.
My thermometer went way above freezing despite my attempting to place the sensor someplace that does not get direct sun. Guess I didn’t succeed. Really don’t notice much dripping from the bushes outside my window, so I’m guessing it stayed below freezing.
It's called clown range for a reason.

WeatherPro is on to something.
Yes, its not coming in from the SW, with Hot Blobby feeding it. Instead, Low is originating from the W/NW with Cold SST to help out. Is this kind of correct Nito?
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!

It's possible with a shot of outflow and deep fresh snow!

Today's high on my west side 0.4°
North side -1°
But White Rock and South Surrey stations both recorded 2.0 , a little disappointing, not sure if I believe it.

People have short and selective memories. I remember Feb 1989, walking on Goodacre Lake in beacon hill park in Victoria. And every time it snows, I hear "this is rare" no it isn't

Yeah exactly. Ice chunks/floes on the fraser are quite common around here. Happened in 2004 (early Jan), 2005 (early Jan), 2007 (mid Jan), 2013 (early Dec), and 2014 (early Feb) as well. It's more rare to see it actually freezing up, especially these days.

However this is definitely the first time it's frozen up in spots (Fort Langley/Maple Ridge) since 2008 and the highest concentration of ice floes/chunks since at least 2008. Might have to go back to 1996 (Dec), or even 1993 (Jan) for the last time there was more. It definitely froze up thicker and in more spots in 1993.

Yeah, if snow was rare most sea level locales across the south coast would not average 30-60cm of snow per year.
