I knew we all along, Nito is Mark Madriga. Madriga said this morning rain on Sunday for the local mountains. :lol:

18z GFS has Heavy snow Sunday a lot of people will be surprised.

North Coast - coastal sections
Significant Winter Storm expected

Timeframe: New Years Eve (Friday evening) through Sunday

Locations: Stewart, Nisga'a, Laxgalts'ap, Gitwinksiglkw, Aiyansh, Terrace, Kitimat, Inland locations along the north coast, Highway 16, Highway 37

Snowfall accumulations: 20 to 50 cm

A winter storm is forecast to cross the Gulf of Alaska and intensify as it nears the north coast late in the day on Friday. Heavy snow from this system is expected from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon, followed by flurries through to Sunday afternoon. Some inland areas could see upwards of 50 cm of snowfall accumulations.

Looks like ~48+ hour Heavy Snow event for N Coast Inland sections. Wow. 50cms? How about some places getting buried by almost a meter!! :shock: :shock:

Raise coming system is not your typical pineapple (Nito approved), it's much colder.

WeatherPro is on to something.

Agreed 100% here. Models are underestimating/rushing cold air too quickly.
