This snow is sooooo much better than the normal wet snow we are accustomed to.

Easy to shovel, easy to walk in and easy to drive in.

No icy/slippery stuff.

Not good for snowballs/snowmen though!

Light snow here now as well.
Temp: -7.0
DP: -12

*I wanted to mention how poor the roads especially the side roads in Surrey are. Poor is in not cleared properly. Many lots/parking lots/gas stations etc have not had their lots cleared and they have had several days to get it done. Either too lazy or too cheap, and now it's going to be worse as it will be almost ice buried beneath the new snow. Very bad on the side roads with compact snow & ice on some hills. Surrey is pathetic!! I have no idea how other cities have been doing over the last week. :x

New Westminster and Vancouver are horrible as well. Side streets are always bad but businesses and homeowners no longer seem to care about shovelling the snow in front of their spaces....

Radar looks good. Snow picking up gradually as less of it is lost to sublimation. Looks like we're on schedule.

Surprised YVR has yet to report a single flake.

Bottom line Nippers is that people are stupid. They do whatever they want regardless of their own safety or anyone else. You could create a new civilization out of the amount of idiots, and covid has shown this even more.

The GFS has been consistent in showing a reload of arctic air next week with multiple snow events. At face value, it's an outlier given the Euro and GEM are much warmer. But the GFS has been good as of recent at picking up on long range patterns before the other models.

For example, in January 2020, the GFS was the first to pick up on the arctic blast and while the extreme solutions it showed never materialized, a moderate version did verify and the other models eventually trended towards it.

Of course the GFS could be completely wrong about next week but it's also possible that the other models are wrong and will eventually trend colder. We can hope. :flakey: :14clown:
