Im on that side too. 5-10cms? WTH? Thats like a little moisture fart. We have been pummmmmmbled with high/higher than forecast precip rates. 5-10cm is a mere dusting for this area

Link above shows the temperatures that preceded this pic of people skating/walking on lost lagoon in early Jan 1985. Cold has been more extreme this year. Must've been a lot of people ignoring the "thin ice" signs back then too.
