I've been on that ferry, you drive on but when you return you have to back onto the ferry, which was a tug boat tied to a barge. You could really tell the locals, didn't take them anytime to load.
l can imagine, Ms. Snowspecialcreeks, one of our milk pick up’s during the day is on Barnston Island they have to back a tandem on to that ferry.

Valley folk - are any of the local waterways mostly full of ice like this? Ex. Vedder Canal, Sumas River, Chilliwack River, Nicomen Slough, Hatzic Lake, Cultus Lake, etc.

Or if it's too much work for the the mods to track down all the pics just created a new topic and we can all attach our pics there. But you might have to post a notice some how so everyone gets the message when they log on.
We won't see something like this for years unfortunately.

I'll be going to Abby on my day off Thursday so l'll take a peek.
I might even go over the Keith Wilson bridge and stop to get some pics.

Can you imagine how excited EC (and everyone down here) would get if they forecast feeeetzzzz? I'll probably get 2 - 4 cm if I get anything, they've not done well forecasting snow for my area.

That's an impressive feat! Maybe they'll be able to drive across soon. Is the ferry still running even?

Yikes, must be the Sechelt banana belt effect.

I've often noticed how warm nights are in the winter over there.

The past week, it's more that the precip has bypassed us and gone south. I've had blue sky when snow was forecast and the lower mainland and Vanc Island were getting it. Sechelt even has more than Roberts Creek. Again it's weird microclimates up here.
