This sounds like a big oof for the Valley. Glad the city doesn't have to deal with that. I think.

At face value, I think even Vancouver would not avoid at least some ZR in that scenario. Wouldn't be nearly as bad as the valley though.

I figured probably a couple mm, but I think Vancouver's geography doesn't favour ZR so here's hoping.

Yeah it's fairly rare. For Vancouver proper especially. Even out here it's not that common either.

Though I do remember parts of the city saw decent amounts of ice in January 2004, December 1996, and December 1995. I think Jan 1979 and Dec 1968 had notable events too, if anyone remembers those ones.

Wow, I had a high of -6.5C! :pinea: :pinea: :pinea:

Still -8.3C at YXX. They've been running colder than me ever since yesterday afternoon, but I was colder than them for the first three days of the event.

Thanks for the update.

Looks like it might be starting to freeze up near the edges? Will be cool to see how much more concentrated the ice floes/chunks get on the river over the coming days, and if it will start freezing up in spots.

Just had a little ZR here last week.
