Here is a comparison between the forecast and actual 500 mb maps for this morning. Slight differences in depth of the trough/lows and flow pattern - NNE flow aloft along the coast vs. a northerly on the forecast. Not bad for a forecast over six days away!

Well based on radar soundings I suspect the SW corner of the LM will be most likely to see flurries develop. Whether it spreads who knows. Seems tiny pockets of moisture is being streamed from the straight and moving SW. MAkes it hard for those of us north of the river unless you’re west of Boundary to get much.

But that’s just based on the observation right now. Things can and will change as the day moves on.

Important to remember: I know nothing. 🤣

Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

I thought YVR reached -15c in 2008? I tried to look but of course the station is missing.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

That might be hard to attain. That said, this is definitely impressive. It’s after 10:00 AM, there’s been sun breaks, and the temperature here is sitting at -10.7°C.

On and off ice in the Fraser Valley Sunday to Tuesday.

Models currently showing a rapid warmup for rain by Sunday morning but I'm skeptical with that low staying offshore.
