The ensembles look fine, they favour the idea of another arctic outbreak after a brief warm up. This has been super consistent.

Did you get your Android TV? That'll be nice to have when you're frozen in your pond.

In the end, Seattle outperformed us again. Its funny because this time that wasn't modelled until about 24 hours out. I don't really care this time because we have snow and true cold.

The GFS and the Canadian both feature a second arctic front hitting us. This has been unbelievably consistent lately. The 12 EPS was a little more modified so maybe those models are overdoing it but either way the possibility is definitely still there.

The warm up was inevitable but keep in mind, things can stay snow longer than modelled. I suspect we will switch to rain at some point but I'm not too worried about it causing major melt or anything, just a few hours of meh followed hopefully by a return to chilly temps. Hopefully we score a few cold clear nights at some point as well!

An airmass this deep with snowcover plus the models indicating no real strong onshore winds when we warm up leads me to believe we could see a horrific ice storm for the Fraser Valley.

Excellent!! Nice to shop when it's not crowded. I like shopping at night because it's quieter in the stores, people don't like driving after dark up here. Can't really blame them, the roads are pretty challenging.

Good thing nobody is dooming and glooming about covid while we're in the midst of our best cold snap since at least 2016 at least, and now falling for the tricks of the negative nellies on here who are just annoyed that long suffering cold weather fans are having a well deserved moment in the sun.

I'm a little tired to post a bunch of maps but honestly the runs looked pretty good. Nito cherry picked one GEFS map, its not the big story right now.
