That little clipper around day 3 digs a little nicer on the 12z euro. Looks colder.

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Mix of both. Temps were not even close to being marginal yesterday so getting only 5cm is just bad luck.
Could have gotten more in the evening but NE Metro ended up in the dry slot all night long, which was a big bust for EC's 10cm snowfall warning.

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Overnight low ended up being -10.8c.
Not bad considering the cloud cover.
Received about 16cm of snow yesterday and 2cm this morning, so 18cm total for the event.
All in all, a nice Christmas gift from mother nature.

Is that 5 cm overnight, or total on the ground? Got 5 cm overnight here. I think that’s a pretty representative amount.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 10:16 am Big bust for parts of the tri cities unfortunately.

We got a few scattered flurries overnight in Coquitlam. Only Amounted to 0.5cm. I haven't measured yet so I could be off by a bit but we definitely missed out big last night compared to western and eastern sections.

Another shot of cold air next Friday on euro. Highs back down well below freezing. Precip looks relatively light with both systems though. Cold with periods of light snow. Should be good ratios though

Still snowing here, tiny flakes now but it's been amazing to have it snow for this long.

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Fortunately I got 11.5cm total here in east Coquitlam so not as bad as southwest Coquitlam. I haven't seen everyone else's totals but I think that's still on the low side?

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
On the plus sides, at least we've seen some snow, and it was as the arctic front came in, so it's not one of those depressing bare-ground cold snaps. Plus Friday is still and the details of the exact outcome are likely to differ. Actual storm track may prove more favourable.
