Definitely not cool... but anecdotally, I suppose it has seemed a little cloudier than average since the end of June. But since EC stopped recording sunshine hours many years ago, there's no way to know definitively.

According to my station, July was pretty close to my 7-year average. (Note: July 2016 on the chart looks suspiciously low -- could be some bad data there, although that was a fairly cloudy month, IIRC.)

August should end up above my 7-year average after next week's sunny spell.

Yellowknife actually. :)

And yes I am gonna visit NS, NB, and PEI in September. Leaving in a week! They have a nice late summer lag. Might even see a thunderstorm this year for once!
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

You won’t need to worry, I remember you saying you have central air conditioning.

FWIW, the euro went much warmer for next weekend, cutting off that ULL much farther west

Well... Since EC changed the sensors of many stations in the country, lows are often well below the hourly min temperature.

I can't see when the temperature felt to 10.0C...

All the other stations in the Lower Mainland have had their Tmin very close to the hourly Tmin.

I thought Nelson was quite nice. Lots of friendly people and walking distance to so many little coffee shops, restaurants and pubs.

If you're visiting the kootenays then nelson is worth a stop, oso negro is a great little coffee shop , city beach isn't the greatest, highly recommend kokanee creek 20 min. away, baker st in downtown nelson reminds me of whyte ave in edmonton, liked all the little places along the way, halcyon hot springs, nakusp, new denver ,ainsworth hot springs, and out of the way town of Kaslo is surprisingly quite vibrant ,some neat highways, caught 12 rainbows at bear lake along hwy 31A on way back to new denver.
