If there was any doubt it's actually raining...

I'm actually surprised at both how mild it is and how little moisture we have available. Models really overdid precipitation it seems. But don't feel like an idiot. It happens. On to this weekend.

Called it yesterday. Lack of precip intensity and low level cold would hinder snow totals. Main moisture coming from WNW in the next 2 hrs. Snow will pick up at higher levels but ground will be too warm.

Moderate snow in New West. Temp is dropping but still too warm to accumulate.

Precip was too light to do much of anything this morning. This allowed things to warm up.

Maybe once things start to cool later today, and with some heavier precip, things will change for the better.

The time of year really hurts us in these setups as well.

Why can't we get these conditions/system in December or January. Stupid sun and daytime heating is too strong now. :fire:

Be careful with modeled totals. 5cm seems like a good bet at this point.
