All the milk in B.C. get's shipped down here and then we have a disaster like this to bring home the need for one in the interior.
I'm affected by what's going on in the Sumas prairie as that's the industry l'm in.
That's insane, I didn't know it was all trucked down there. Talk about inefficient.

I've been trying to buy Canadian grown/produced for food but it's a challenge. I was reading about labeling and Product of Canada (or the black circle with the maple leaf and word Canada) applies to anything processed in Canada, so it could be farmed in China, processed into nuggets and sold as Product of Canada. I started thinking a lot about this when I noticed most of the frozen fish is a packaged in China. And we live on the west coast...makes you wonder.

"Product of Canada" means that the largest cost takes place in Canada. Order tomatoes from China or Mexico or wherever, and can them in Canada... if the canning costs more than the tomatoes, then it's a "product of Canada."

BTW, he's a huge weather geek. he just spent over 5 grand on a Davis weather station. It even shows the temperature and moisture in the ground from 10cm down to 90cm down.
Wow Glace that's a super Geek is his station
online?

Yes... If you have the Weatherlink App or if you're on Wunderground. Hanson Lumby, BCI think is what it's called.

I got gas tonight, no problem, other than they've completely changed how you get in and out of the mall, I'm not sure it's an improvement.
