Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Sunday night… Likely very slick winter conditions with some elevation. Interested to see how that plays out.

Tropical Tidbits isn't very good for that. WeatherBell is the best.

Okay... maybe some wet flurries, but mostly cold rain. Elevations above 100m could pick up a couple cm.

Right on. 30L is not even half tank lol but it’s better than nothing. Fuel light on here and my sportscar burns 20L/100km so i should grab some gas tomorrow.

The RGEM shows some wet snow for the valley on Saturday morning. Cold rain for Metro Vancouver, but perhaps some slush for higher elevations.

Haven't had any trouble getting gas up here..but you'd burn more than that getting back home. Welcome! It's nice to have new active members.BCWeather101 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 9:15 pm Yes, i’m happy you guys are all doing okay. Pretty soon we’ll be out of this rainy mess. Yeah i gotta get gas for my 350Z too soon speaking of which. Is there no gas anywhere?
Rainfall warning ended for the Sunshine Coast. It's nice to see the green banner up. EC calling for -2 tomorrow night, it's going to be cold after all these high temps. brrrrr.

Setup on Monday per 00z GFS still looks fairly similar to Dec 13/1971.

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
I like it! I'm getting feeetttttzzzzz of snow. 47" of it.
- Really though, wouldn't that just be a disaster but a perfect end to this crazy year.
Does that all fall on one day or is it a cumulative total? I'm trying to figure these maps out.

The GFS is the official sponsor of #teamsnow for this winter. It’s just doing it’s job to support our cause.

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Seems to be worse this year than years past. Is it because this set up is so great for medium to high elevations that it can't handle the difference in topography?

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Thinking that is the case so it may need to be fine tuned. The ECMWF was showing a few inches of snow a few weeks ago which was way off.
