In all seriousness, this is a pretty good GFS run (out to day 7 so far). Trending cooler in the short-mid range.

NPAC ridge is still not amplified enough but with modified arctic air in the interior and cold NW flow we could realistically score a few wet snowfalls during the first half of December. Definitely 2007-like.

Things to look for in the long range for signs of arctic air: Amplified NPAC ridge, SE ridge and a weak west based NAO block.

Good pattern if you want more snow chances. Systems tap into some impressively cold airmasses pouring out of Alaska.

Not a good pattern if you like Fraser Outflows and bone dry and cold weather.
