I've also noticed that the ICON has taken two large steps toward the GFS today re: the weekend

Edit: before I start "wishcasting" as they call it, I will note that this still looks like cold rain for most communities. But it's a heck of a lot closer than what we've seen all month and we gotta start somewhere.

*sigh* here we go again. Cue the Minister of Propaganda telling us it'll either trend too far south or suddenly leap too far north and become a 3 day AR.

Perhaps this is just the beginning of a cooler regime which we may enter. Cool for a bit with some snow/slush chances and turning colder as we head into mid-Dec.

Who knows though. Just my guess.

The 500mb pattern right now just looks like something we would often see before things turn colder.

I’m still hoping the cold holds off for a bit though, honestly. I’ve got lots of jobs to finish up before year end.

Hopefully it will continue trending south and become snow for Eugene, then I can go over to the AF to see a certain poster from there whine that the snow they got is not cold enough, too wet and slushy, too short-lived, etc.
It's called clown range for a reason.
