That's our climate unfortunately. A lot of things have to go right. It happened before, will happens again.

A longtime friend here encouraged me to look for work here. (I had given up trying to find work as a software developer in the States due to rampant ageism; it is in my experience virtually impossible to get hired there once one is visibly older than 50.) He claimed the culture was significantly different in the Canadian high-tech sector. I was skeptical, but decided to test his theory by sending three résumés northward. Two resulted in interviews, and one interview resulted in a job offer. With that job offer, I was able to secure a work permit and a fast-track to permanent residency via the BC Provincial Nominee Program. So here I am.

What year was (a couple of years ago) la Nina year when we score multiple snow events and nothing down south. Literally exactly the same pattern.

So far, so good! I have always enjoyed my visits to Canada in general and Vancouver in particular, and have long fantasized about living in Vancouver one day, so it was not a hard decision to move up.

Summer time English bay is beautiful to go to and relax and enjoy a drink. I love going there in the summer after work and watch the sunset with a cold 🍺

2016 was way better up here. Seattle was ghosted until probably February. Inject that **** into my veins. I want to see north of the border dominate those guys again. These big Seattle scores have been demoralizing but I swear It's our turn now.

I'll give that 20% chance of verifying. It's a tough set up for snow. pomo special.

2016-17 was colder/snowier in Oregon than here at times. Especially in early-mid Jan.

2013-14 was like that too, and even more extreme at times (early Dec and early Feb).

A rare freeze potential on Friday. Looks to be the only completely dry day in sight too.
