New to the forum and here for the snow! I have a feeling this might be a big year for us snow lovers. I want record breaking snowfall to rival when I lived in Port Alberni back in '96 and we couldn't leave the house for a couple of days the snow was piled so high!
Welcome SnowGeek!!! Looks like another member for Team Snow!!! It'll be great to have reports from West Van.

Where abouts in West Van are you? I grew up there, starting out around 11th and Kings and Jefferson then moving up to Ottaburn just above the highway.

How's the situation at Sumas lake, Hwy 1 still open? Not that I'll travel on it anytime soon.

Nothing but blue skies right now

ECMWF was awful. GOA Vortex, uninterrupted means more potential AR events with periodic ridging into December. Bare ski hills.

Of course snow_wizard is labeling this as a positive run.

Decent 5 day mean on the EPS. The positive heights over the Aleutians are creeping ever so slightly eastward.

Sticking to my original call.

Couldn't be much more predictable. What gets depicted as a period of western troughing, becomes this.

That's to be expected though. Here's the 500mb map for the same time frame.
