My friend in Yarrow just sent me photos of his property. One of the little homes is under water, and the creek running through it is within 12" or so of ingress into the main home. This is crazy. Anyone know what is the rainiest day that YXX has ever had in the past?

Huge puddle on hiway 1 eastbound fast lane just before Annis rd, luckily l stayed in slow lane guy next to me had to stop to go through it. this has to be a precursor of an outstanding winter headed our way.
Interesting, I can see Annis from my place and saw 2 separate accidents because of all the emergency vehicles showing up there. Pouring rain and 152mm storm total. Water is overflowing the creeks at the base of our hill and rushing across the road filling the fields. I am curious what tomorrow will look like 😬

Seems like that should have been broken before. I know we've had 24 hour totals higher than that.. it's just hard to get it all in the same day.

l just drove through there at about 7:45p.m. that pooling there looked liked an accident waiting to happen you can't see it in the dark.
I'm assuming the fields you mentioned are a lake by now.

Some of the 0z models do pivot the Rain train slightly north of the eastern Fraser valley for a time tomorrow morning. Might be a bit of help for those areas. At the same time this will probably serve to focus the heaviest rainfall rates on southern Vancouver island and the north shore mountains of Vancouver. Could be the most intense rain of the event in the early morning hours for those areas

Well it will be a long drive out with Hwy 1 also being closed in the Canyon. Hope is cut off from the West and only way out at all is Hwy 3. At this rate Hwy 99 might not go unscathed either.

Yes and that could mean flooding in the Sea to Sky region/Howe Sound.

Whatcom County declared a state of emergency ages ago. It really should be one in the Fraser Valley too. Why is our government asleep at the switch?
