Just to compare:
Max today: 96 m3/s
Max in Jan. 2020: 104 m3/s
All-time max: 166 m3/s (Nov. 4, 1975)

I'm currently at 81.7 mm. Not sure if my station is just reading low or if the rain rates have been a bit more intense in your area. Either way, this will certainly be a memorable Atmospheric River event.

Honestly, I think there is a good chance Abbotsford will break the all time daily rainfall today. The record is 95 mm set on November 3, 1971.

Possible your station is reading low. They tend to read low during extreme rainfall. My station was showing 82 mm and I've measured 90 mm manually. I've updated my software with the correct total.

The record will be obliterated, no doubt.

A measly 35 mm since 11 pm last night, yesterday was 33 mm so 68 mm total. Happy to be missing out on the big event.

It slowed down around 4 pm and it looked on the radar like it was done for the Sunshine Coast but nope, just a very brief interlude and it started raining again. Still raining now...

80's, so it's not climate change related ?

Yea my Davis station is reading quite a bit low. Last check on the manual gauge was over 75mm. About evenly distributed between yesterday and today.

Little if any reprieve thru about 2pm tomorrow. Unless that developing low serves as a mechanism to lift the band of rain north of the eastern Valley the rain is going to continue to pour down for another 16-20 hrs

Absolutely insane out there John, l drove to Rosedale didn't go through Rosedale itself, after seeing video of flooding in Rosedale took Hiway 9 exit you can't go further east it's blocked off detour.
Huge puddle on hiway 1 eastbound fast lane just before Annis rd, luckily l stayed in slow lane guy next to me had to stop to go through it. this has to be a precursor of an outstanding winter headed our way.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

If your station is on your deck Jr. Man being close to your bldg is most likely causing a rain shadow as well.
Ideally it should placed as far out in the open away from obstacles.
