LOL true, I just found it funny because the implication is that the rain is falling so fast, even a beach can't drain into the ocean quickly enough.
Ya, it still looks cool for sure! Anyway, my comments were not aimed at you, just the drama queens on Twitter.
I'm happy we are sharing the photos etc.

Ah dw I didn't take it that way either. Got thicker skin than that HAHA. Stanley Park is also "flooded" according to the same criteria.

Saw a few twitter posts from the City of Langley that streets are closed due to flooding in low lying areas. No pics though.

Plenty of minor urban flooding here in east Coquitlam, especially in the flats close to the Poco border. Nothing serious. Mostly due to leaves blocking the drains.
Coquitlam River sure is roaring though.

Elevated risk here due to the burn scars from the fire last summer.
Not only the burn scars but the clearing they have done for the pipeline.

Isn't the pipeline construction near highway 5? The advisory was for hwy 1 from Lytton to Spences Bridge.

Hey Rubisberries, your old hood is flooded too:

I’m not surprised. Whatcom County usually escapes the worst of it due to partial rain shadowing, but this time is forecast to get the full brunt of the storm. 100 to 150 mm predicted there.
It's called clown range for a reason.
