Looks like TWN is expecting an additional 100-200mm in the valley and eastern Metro Vancouver over the next 24hrs. 50-100mm for YVR and environs.

I think this AR will end up more intense than the January 2020 storm, at least for some regions. Much longer duration resulting in higher rain totals.

Locally - in Coquitlam - that one (Jan 30/31/Feb 1, 2020) is the gold standard over the past decade I'd say, probably the most significant since Nov 2006. Pretty sure we got about 175mm in 48hrs.

Once this event is set and done I think there's a good chance we match that.

For you guys in the valley though, this event is likely going to blow basically everything since Nov 2006 out of the water.
