Not yet but the damage and video at UBC is confirming damages consistent with a tornado.

So this brings to light AGAIN, there is NO weather station at UBC. One of Canada's biggest universities and no weather dept. or weather official weather station or even weather cams. So damn PATHETIC! :x

https://forbiddenvancouver.ca/blog/deva ... nley-park/

"An October 1934 windstorm followed by a January 1935 snowstorm wreaked havoc on Stanley Park on a much larger scale. The Daily Province newspaper described the carnage:"
Trees are down in thousands—literally thousands. Hundreds of others will have to be felled because they are hanging in dangerous positions. Some of the best timber in the Park is gone—great cedars and magnificent Douglas firs and giant hemlocks lie piled upon one another in hopeless tangles. The vine maple—benison of summer and glory of autumn—is flattened and destroyed. Branches of conifers have been wrenched away by the weight of snow and the bare poles left standing. Trails are blocked and torn. The spoil of the storm is everywhere …

And then there was also the damage caused by typhoon freda in 1962!

There used to be plenty of stations across the lower mainland, including at UBC. Many shut down in the 90s, and it's gotten much worse since then.

Makes it really difficult to illustrate all the microclimates in the region since there's literally no data for most cities at this point.

Agreed coverage at UBC and Simon Fraser lacks, not like American universities that have a full fledge atmospheric departments.
On that note l recall seeing a PWS at UBC you may have to google it Houndmaster.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.
