It would suck that this pattern only lasts for this month and disappears come December when we could really use it.Hawk wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 3:30 pm Kind of anomalous how these Lows off the coast can be dropping snow levels down so far, and so early in November. Oh right...daaaaa. Cold SST's. Normally temps would spike to 14c with snow levels at 2600m or so. Glad Mr Blob is long gone
Anyone look at the current SST's?

Yup looks great for you the next 7-10 days
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing?

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Western NA will be under the influence of persistent troffing through December. Transient ridges may provide some periodic relief from the cool/wet pattern. The local mountains will have a substantial snowpack by the start of December. With the current #patternlock, expect a cool/wet and likely above average snowy month of December in the PNW lowlands.

The supply and demand economy, whereby the demand for undesired items is stimulated by creating social obligations for third parties to purchase and supply them to recipients.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
It’s been showing that for some time. I think it is an artifact of the modeling, causing forecast snow in the Coast Mountains to slop over into the adjacent lowlands.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 2:59 pm ECMWF showing wet snow accumulations for our area this weekend. Something must have gone wrong because temps are between +6 to +9 .

The modeling resolution has gotten brutal in recent years. Temps will be running near +6 with 1000m freezing levels yet some snow being shown over SL..Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 6:13 pm It’s been showing that for some time. Komo
The wild weather doesn't stop there. Signs are pointing to the possibility of a damaging wind storm by Tuesday. As always, this low would have to thread itself just right through our topography to cause widespread problems for Puget Sound. We'll keep you posted along the way!

Clown range chilly alert!
BTW does anyone know how to change a password if you don't remember your password? Is there any way to email a temporary password or link from email? I got logged out on one of my devices but it doesn't save passwords.
