Btw have the Hallmark never ending Christmas 🎄 movie marathon started yet?
you the ones that always have a happy ever ending.
:wtf: l just looked they started Oct.22nd :o that's absolutely insane.
October 22nd is ridiculous. This is why more and more people dislike the holidays and Christmas now. Imagine in August we start decorating our houses for Halloween.

How did you know? The creek is a river and a waterfall too!

Yes, :wtf: they started before Halloween even. I'm not watching them yet because as much as I love Christmas and the joy and giving spirit of it, over two months of Christmas is too much.

Visited a friend in Langdale this afternoon and she had a backyard full of elk. Amazing creatures and huge!

Toasty warm tonight, 11pm and 11c. (For the detail lovers the totally accurate time is 11:24 and temp is 11.7c) And of course, it's raining....still

October 22 is fine. I would rather do away with Halloween and Halloween decoration altogether. Also some people have Christmas lights for Diwali apparently.

Can I ask why? Just not a fan of Halloween?

I love Christmas and the holidays don’t get me wrong ! I just don’t find that I can get in the Christmas spirit 60 plus days out especially before Halloween or Remembrance Day.

October 22nd is way to early in my opinion because before you know it, Then it will he October 1st. The reason people dislike Christmas music etc is they hear it everyday for 60 days and it becomes annoying. If they started all that December 1st, 25 days before Christmas then people would enjoy everything more and appreciate it. Everything depreciates in value when it’s overplayed and overused and the Majority of the people feel the same. I honestly believe in people can do what they want as long as they are happy so it’s fine but seeing Christmas decorations out before Halloween and Christmas movies is a bit much in my opinion

I like candy but not the underlying theme of Halloween of all the darkness and scary things. I'm not a fan at all of horror movies. In the Philippines they start Christmas music and decoration on September 1. We don't start any real decorating until November but I get excited seeing Christmas things in October and seeing the Halloween stuff disappear from stores. I also love the time of year of Christmas with the cheeriness of Christmas (besides the real meaning of Christmas), the fact that days are starting to get longer, my birthday, snow possibilities, new year etc. It's just happy all around.

So your okay with the the trick or treating aspect ? I personally kinda like the dressing up and scary things. People can make amazing costumes and express themselves in a way that they won’t be judged. It’s a day where nothing is off limits and nothing is considered to crazy and Halloween get togethers are always fun. The kids always have a great time going house to house trying to see which house gives the best candy etc.

I definitely agree with you with the days getting longer I’ve always loved that and your right about the holiday cheer and happiness. I live the holidays it just takes me till the end of November to really get into it. But anytime I see snow forecasted in December there’s really no better feeling. I do love seeing houses go all out for Christmas decorations. We use to have a house that was completely lit up with like 20 elves and Santa Claus and reindeer. People would drive by and take pictures that was cool.

Seriously, this. That would give Christmas 25 days, which would still be 25 times the number of days that any other holiday gets. Yet some people still apparently think for some reason that’s not enough. I just don’t get it.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I agree. I would be perfectly okay with 25 days till Christmas. I mean Christmas is literally one day but we drag it out for over 65 days now it seems..
