FWIW, '96 isn't the only example of a November cold/snow event followed by another or serveral more later in the winter. It's more common than you think.
Recent examples being 2017-18, 2011-12, 2010-11 and 2006-07.
Tell em TypeingMan!
Its quite apparent that this is our year..FINALLY after all those promised opportunities busted. The atmosphere is in a cycle of extremes this year. last 2 seasons.my guess is we get the COLD/wet extreme soon. Tell em Nito!!
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing?

Freeze denied, thanks to some farctic breezes. Up to 3ËšC from a low pf 1ËšC.
No freeze here either with a low of 1.3c. Lots of frost though.
Looking at the wunderground temp map, other than the immediate coast in Richmond and Delta, it seems like temps have risen quite a bit across most of the region thanks to the downsloping winds. Currently 13.3c here.

Downsloping winds have hit Pitt Meadows. Temp has dumped from 7.0c to 13.6c in the past couple hours.
I was just gonna say it's 13° here (shorts weather),3 degrees higher than Kristi Gordon's high of 10° , unless her forecast was just for YVR. Anyways time for a walk to white rock beach and back in my shorts and enjoy this pleasant weather. And then watch the Canucks and see if once again they'll put the Gene Kiniski sleeper hold on me.
