If it verifies, Chilliwack might be a lake!

It's called clown range for a reason.

I’m still with Nito on this one and rooting for a mild and ridgy November. Those tend to be correlated with snowy Decembers and/or Januaries in La Niña years.

Rainfall warning for Victoria. 50 mm tonight through Thursday. No warning or SWS for the Sunshine Coast...maybe it won't rain here

Hello SnowGranny, nice to see you backSnowGranny wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 10:15 pm Is your cattle dog pure or mix breed? Beautiful dog!
I haven’t seen one with a coat that dark.
I will try to post a pic of mine. He’s my world!
They are such a smart breed.
Kita is supposed to be an Australian Shepard x Border Collie but I think she has a bit of something else too, she's quite big for both of those breeds. She was a light blue merle as a puppy but is mostly black now. This pic was from 6 years ago. She is super smart, I'm glad I have the farm for her to entertain herself on.

He/she is beautiful! Such a wise look. My first dog was a Blue Heeler x. Other than the white patch on his forehead he looked more like a stout Rottweiler, taking after his dad.

She's an Australian Shepherd x Border Collie, plus something bigger I think.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 10:01 pm Nice shots Ms. Roaringcreeks, l was going to ask if you had some shots of the damage. what breed is your pup?
I managed to get the tree cut off my fence with my too short saw and a 4' pry bar, what a job. I'm happy to have my fence back up again, a neighbour had their sheep killed by a couple of dogs so this should keep them off.

Re: October 2021 Forecasts and Discussion
Fun FACT: Chilliwack used to be a lake. Well, actually it used to flood most years and the lake was west of Chilliwack, called Sumas Lake. After the great flood of 1894 which flooded all of Chilliwack and all the way into Abbotsford, they decided to start planning to change things. 100 years ago they spent an entire year draining the lake and moving the Chilliwack west.
Here are some picks...

Assuming that's one of the reasons why Vedder Canal was built? Seems like that diverts the water away from the Sumas Prairie.Glacier wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 11:33 pm Fun FACT: Chilliwack used to be a lake. Ooh definitely..but rooting for and expectations are two very different things! There will be a ridge at some point, let's hope it's followed by the goods.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 6:05 pm I’m still with Nito on this one and rooting for a mild and ridgy November. Re: October 2021 Forecasts and Discussion
in 1984 on Halloween night, Abbotsford dropped down to -7.5c. Is this a rumour or correct?
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing?
