I bet EC will have a SWS for tomorrow mornings 5am forecast upgraded to a rainfall warning by 4pm.

They really don't have a clue. Saw another forecast which said fall will be warm because of warm Pacific water off the BC coast. It could be a warm fall but I don't think it would necessarily result solely from slightly warmer than normal water off the coast. The end of the week storm is looking good for 40-80mm for much of the south coast. Pretty unusual for mid September

The forecasts I have seen indicate the snow levels should stay well above the passes through this event.

Largest two-day rainfall in September during the past decade at YVR was in 2018... 39.6mm total on the 21st/22nd.
Largest one-day rainfall was 35.4mm on September 28, 2013.
Going a bit further back, YVR also recorded a total of 55.8mm on September 18th/19th, 2010.
