It's been pretty nice, heat wise. July average high was 26.9c at Pitt Meadows though, which didn't really come close to threatening the record.

Now we wait and see if this summer lines up with our top tier dry spells in recorded history... will have to wait until September or October to see but 1878, 1896, 1910, 1922, 1925, 1928, 1938, 1951, 1958, 1960, 1986, 2002, 2003 and 2012 are the frontrunners to beat, imo.

Sure would be nice to have an AR event this weekend. We won't.. Everything is dying.
How are lake levels around BC? I wish the Fraser River would run supper low.

We need single digit (F) temps at YVR this winter! Hasn't happened since 2008. :(

The climate is becoming incapable of what it used to be in cold terms. And now potentially becoming capable of 40C+ in the lower mainland multiple times a year.

While the first wave of heat looks brief, that ridge on the Euro looks like it's going to rebuild again pretty quick. But it's hard to say since the model only goes out 240 hours.

Looks like the Flat Lake fire had a backburn that backfired.

Here are some screenshots featuring the fire activity on the 3rd.

Do you have similar pics for the Sparks Lake, Nk'Mip Creek, or Octopus Creek fires?

1926 and 1936 could be very tough to beat given the cool/wet weather on the way for Fri-Sat-Sun. Streak will likely end.
