Month to date average high at the Pitt Meadows station is 21.1C...hardly hot. Total precip is 35.3mm which isn't too wet but not terribly dry either.
Yes but Pitt Meadows station is too warm... Not a good location (overexposed).
Your making me jealous. I should pack up the RV and head up.

Fishing is crazy good up at watch lake right now. I just counted 24 boats in the water. Weather is cool with a few showers. High was only 12c yesterday

Are most people fly fishing/fly trolling? The chironomid fishermen usually knockem dead this time of year.
I caught 8 this afternoon on a Chironomid. Fly guys are probably out fishing spinning gear trolling 5:1. One guy anchored out front of our cabin yesterday and caught them pretty much non stop on his fly rod.

Good stuff Monty! That's 8 more than I've ever caught on a chironomid. I only tried it a couple of times, found it boring, but that was probably because I wasn't catching. I have often read and heard of chironomid fishermen getting dialed in with non stop action but haven't really seen it. I usually go fishing in June, I think by then the chironomid hatches slow down. Do you know about the fly fishing discussion forum flybc.ca?

With those wildfires in northern Alberta and the upcoming drying trend hopefully we don't get much of an off shore flow otherwise I suppose it's possible we could get an early encounter with smoke.
