Winds have really picked up this evening in Osoyoos and the fire is getting very close to the Spirit Ridge Resort.

Looks like 100 mile house is getting some light rain this evening. Should help slow the flat lake fire.

This gives an idea of how quickly the winds can can get a fire roaring.

This was that same fire yesterday afternoon.

The Lytton Creek fire is getting close to the southern end of Spences Bridge. The scenic drive through the Canyon is going to look different for many years to come

We may have a couple of chances during the first week of August.

Ya, it's into the Nicola Valley now, and only 1.18 km from highway 8!

Spences Bridge and surrounding area is now under an evacuation order.

You have any updated versions of these maps for flat lake? Please. Sounds like parts of the fire had a decent downpour this morning. I think probably less over the southern sections of the fire

It had about 5 mm. No growth since yesterday. It has not crossed the highway. The highway is 4 lanes wide there, so it wouldn't be able to cross without extreme fire behavior.

All the extreme fire behavior is in the south where there hasn't been any rain.
