Its an effective vaccine, its just not quite as safe as the others. Those Americans hate anything that's not american made eh? Like the Johnson and Johnson shot had similar VITT issues and they approved that one.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 12:14 pm l think it's sort of been straightened out Mr. Kells talk was you couldn't go see the Boss (Springsteen) on Broadway in New York if you had the Z shot as it wasn't approved in the U.S.

Re: Covid Pandemic
Any one worried about the Delta variant eventually causing issues in Canada?
I'am you know what they say when there's fire around you eventually it gets you.

Oof not the happiest analogy with all the fires going on in the province now too. Apt, though, I suppose.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 10:09 pm Any one worried about the Delta variant eventually causing issues in Canada?

Re: Covid Pandemic
I doubt it. Vaccinations will keep a lid on things. It'll be a pandemic of the unvaccinated. And many of those are anti maskers who already probably caught it.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:34 pm Yeah agreed, and on that note 78 cases today.

Re: Covid Pandemic
Not sure how accurate this report is but 1000 cases an hour reported in U.S. that's just insane.

Re: Covid Pandemic
Well the concern now is if we don't get enough of the world vacc'd these variants will mutate enough into something that eventually no vaccine will stop it, what a scary thought your thoughts Mr. Kells?

Could be sards..I doubt it though. I think they could make a booster quite quickly if need be.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 3:09 am Well the concern now is if we don't get enough of the world vacc'd these variants will mutate enough into something that eventually no vaccine will stop it, what a scary thought your thoughts Mr. Kells?

Re: Covid Pandemic
I got pretty nervous have a sore throat and headache up at the cabin here but I'm fully vaccinated so the risk is low hopefully. I knew cases would rebound, restrictions are super light and some people still waiting for 2nd shot. Hang in there!SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 8:00 pm Cases going up again 89 today John, Mr Kells getting a tad nervous, 2nd dose on The 27th.

Re: Covid Pandemic
It's not really surprising given some restrictions have been lifted and I'm pretty sure the government anticipated this with their modeling. I wouldn't be surprised if cases go back over 200 per day next month.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 8:00 pm Cases going up again 89 today John, Mr Kells getting a tad nervous, 2nd dose on The 27th.
If hospitals are not well over capacity and deaths remain relatively low though, high # of cases pretty much don't matter and aren't much cause for concern; at that point we likely won't need all these mass testing centres to stay open either.
