It's England. They collapse under pressure at every tournament... just like the leafs.

Also not to mention another similarity is the media hype and fan following. Makes any neutral fan cheer for the opposition.

It is unfortunate. But the game had moments which made us believe for a quick second.

As a supporter of anyone but England, I was definitely getting worried for a bit there because they usually get knocked out of major tournaments long before this stage.

Glad to see the incessant "its coming home" chants and references by the fans and media were shut up by Bonucci when he came up with this everlasting quote at the final whistle:

Oh man. I'm an England supporter and I find the fans obnoxious. I understand the sentiment by the ABE crowd. But it still sucks to see and hear the gloating haha. But gloat away, you guys deserve it given all the crap England fans pull. I'll just stay away from the memes for a few days haha

I wouldn't say they collapsed. It could not have been any closer.

Having said that, the racism their young players experienced tells you everything you need to know about many english football fans. Disgusting.

I agree. Unfortunately my friend and I were discussing it and we saw it coming from a football field away.

I don't mind the trade actually. He isn't going to play 23 minutes a night in Edmonton. We have Nurse to do that for us. Would have hoped for some salary retention, but you can't have everything. Having watched Caleb Jones since he was drafted, he isn't going to be anything more than a 5/6 d man on a good team, perhaps a 4 on a bad team. Sometimes you just have to give up on a guy. Besides with Bouchard and Broberg ready to challenge for a spot in the top 6, it was a risk the Oilers could afford to take.

We'll see if it ends up being a mistake but I do think Keith's experience and mentality will also be a huge asset for Edmonton. Could've definitely made the difference in a game like that one vs Winnipeg when the Oilers gave up the 3 goal lead in less than 10 minutes.

That's the hope. At some point you have to sacrifice futures to take a shot. Having Keith play on the left side on the 2nd pairing is a risk worth taking for the Oilers.
