l remember that 12 point night for Sittler, it was a HNIC game against the big bad Bruins l believe. I also recall Sittler was the big talk about being traded. Before his 12 point game, but l'm sure Ice man already knew that as well.

That was before my time, but I did know Sittler holds the record for most points in a game. Didn't know the Ian Turnbull stat though! That's crazy, 5 goals in a game by a deference! I knew the record is 7 by Joe Malone way back near the beginning of the NHL, but they didn't really do line changes back then so you had the same players playing the entire game. I'm not sure when they brought in the line changes, but I know by the mid-20s teams were only allowed two lines.

It's Amazing that Turnbull holds the record over the likes Orr, Coffey,Potvin, Bourque, Brad Park, etc.

Demko hasn't been any better than Holtby, until his last 2 or 3 games. Let's hope he gets his playoff mojo back. Haven't paid much attention to farm team, hopefully Woo shows some promise, Romanov was taken by Montreal right after Woo and has already made the team and making an impact on the back end.

Yes he is rounding into form recently. Him and Holtby had an up and down start. But honestly the team game was such a tire fire I just don't look at their stats until the last handful of games when the team decided to play defense.

But it doesn't matter. Our GM is out doing the opposite of what makes sense. Trying to sign Tanner ****ing Pearson. The guy is decent but c'mon! How many old vets do we need before we realize that youth and cap space are absolutely essential? This is the reason we lost Tanev, Stetch and Toffoli. Because we had old overpaid bums like Roussel and Sutter just draining away cap space. Its such a frustrating time to be a Canucks fan. The GM just sucks. The owner sucks too although at least he spends his money on the team. But overall its just such a poorly run organization and I don't think he could find another GM to do his bidding if he wanted to, which he doesn't.

That's amazing to think it's taken this many years to draft a goaltender of his calibre. Does that mean bad drafting or it takes this long to draft a good goaltender.

He's only played 60 games but I think we're all pretty convinced by now. This guy has the goods. Lets hope he can stay healthy and lead us to the promised land. (LOL to either of those things happening, I'll believe it when I see it)
