What was advertised as an arctic blast is now just a weak offshore flow and seasonally mild temps. A typical case of a model picking up a pattern but getting the important details completely wrong.
Its the GFS. What did we expect?

Snow level will drop in heavier shower tom. Probably a mixed bag for some areas..rain/hail/slush...snow?
PomoMan..maybe even Catnip in a heavier shower. One of those rain turns to hail turns to graupel/wet snow mix. Enjoy the troff
Looks like a tremendous day!

Willoughby gets pounded with late afternoon intense hail, transitioning to graupel, followed by a period of heavy wet thundersnow that leads to complete chaos on the roads.

After everyone’s asleep, slush freezes over and Monday morning commute is worst in years!
