Well I remember 2017...this sub was calling for snow mid-March. You called it 2 weeks before the event. Tried to reschedule a game based on that, got laughed at, and...it snowed and the game was cancelled. So you never know. Might happenâ€Â♀ï¸Â

Seems to me that winter's not over until at least the end of March. We just say its over because things that happen in March are fairly tame most times due to high sun angles and whatnot. I'm personally hoping the skiing is at least decent thenLisa0527 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 10:27 pm Well I remember 2017...this sub was calling for snow mid-March. That also reminds me of maybe 2005(??) when there was no snow, local hills closed. We went to Silver Star, which was the only place with snow, and then a massive snow dump for March break. It can happen.

I’ll add March break maybe 2001(?) to the list of big mid-March snow dumps. Nothing’s impossible...just unlikely.

That was 2002 I think. Abbotsford got over a foot of snow.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Slightly happy with myself upon reading my almost accurate winter forecast:
Post Wed Nov 11, 2020 7:19 am
My prediction is very active and persistently wet conditions. 1 legit arctic blast and 1 or 2 marginal ones. Several chances at lowland snow from onshore flow. Ski hills do well above average, avalanche season will be quite active.
Total snow for the LM is a crapshoot but im going to go with above or around the long term average with a few areas potentially missing out due to topography and whatnot, but maybe some big winners too.
Timing, im hoping for a December blast but its once again a crapshoot. January would be great too again obviously. I dont want to wait for February to save us again, but if it does then Feb 2017 style will do. I have this weird feeling about mid December this year, we'll have to wait and see.
I hope im underselling this winter and it turns into the amazing epic that a lot of people are expecting. But our climate is very difficult for getting those winters. It could very well be a giant bust. 99-2000 is on my mind a bit here.
