Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
So, another wind storm bust? EC said up to 90km gusts along the water. Couldn't find any place with wind gusts over 47km.
And usually there is a bit of spill over, but it's dead calm outside.
EVERYTHING busts here except the rain. That is always a guarantee!
As for winter, winter can FRO!
This winter has been total garbage except if your name is Monty. Another winter that was supposed to be good because La Nina
All BS!
Onto Spring. Give me +12 - + 15 and sun for 2 months.

Theres nobody here Lisa..only the people with OCD and time to waste talking about things other than weather
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing?

That's ok, I'll get 10cm in March for a last second comeback victory.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Just checking out the forum, thinking about +12 - +15 and looked outside, windy here and snow/sleet/graupel coming down. Not much and since I can see blue sky, fluffy white clouds probably not for long but I'll take it. Yahoo!!! It's snowing!!!
Will go count the number of flakes to add to my total.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I'll be the winner with 65cm of snow in a 12 hour period when an arctic front and atmospheric river sets up a convergence zone over Abbotsford. I expect the heavy snow will start falling mid March once Nito says mild rains.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 2:17 pm

Something's trying to happen. Very windy, some clouds forming over by you R Creeker and the NShore mountains. I can see it's snowing a bit on Grouse Mtn right now. Dark cloud over head here too!Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 3:41 pm Just checking out the forum, thinking about +12 - +15 and looked outside, windy here and snow/sleet/graupel coming down. Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Last i checked SImikameens is in Southern BC??
Isnt that the section we are in here?
Maybe you should rename the thread Metro Vancouver??
Then maybe Monty should start his own for the South Island too.
Then we can be like the Wx people in East USA

Looks like the peak was 68 km/h at YVR, unless it got higher between reports. Definitely a bust as far as the warning goes.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
It's interesting, February is one of the very few months that's been getting colder over time in the US...

Any luck?
Did you manage to get hopelessly snowed in on the Island? We should all have gone to the Island I think.
