AbbyJr wrote: Wed Feb 17, 2021 10:28 am I agree that we need arctic air for significant low land snow this time of year. However, my guess is that we see another period of high latitude blocking in March. Thus, we could see another snowfall. Perhaps I am just being too optimistic.
We have had some good snowfalls in March, and the BCLM’s big problem with the last event was not lack of cold air; it was being just too far north to get the moisture. Portland and Seattle stayed significantly warmer than us for the most part, yet got good dumpings (as did Victoria).
It's called clown range for a reason.

Follow the outline of the mixed precip boundary and it looks like a fish tail.

So far I’ve had a total of approx 30 to 35 cm
Dec 21 and this weekends accounted for almost all of it outside a stray few cm here n there. Still sad considering.
Not holding my breath for tomorrow but will remain hopeful. I’ll consider it a surprise to see any amount of snow accumulate.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

A sunny, mild afternoon. Melting fast. Lawns now have more green area than white.
