I’ll give you this EPS was a small step back. None of us should be too confident more than 150 hours out though.

Did all four cities not get at least a trace of snow from these events? Snow may be widespread but it doesn't mean it's rare or memorable for certain cities.

So... If Texas can get anomalous events to this magnitude, why can't we?

I’m honestly staggered how poorly the LM did with this entire event. I feel for you guys. It sucks.

Seems to me that the HRDPS did the best job in forecasting amounts on Vancouver Island and the LM, mind you that was only 48 hours ahead of the onset.

I really like the hrdps, obviously for short term stuff. I think it missed last night though. I thought it had a pretty good swath of snow over the LM

At this point, I'd rather winter '14-15 over this one.

Arctic front on Nov 28, 2014 was very dynamic if any of you guys remember that one... dropped temps from 12/13c in the afternoon to -5c by morning with snow (about 5-6cm) for a couple hours, followed by a couple clear subfreezing days.

I disagree...although the LM did not do well it’s It’s not often that a single event delivers 4-12 inches of snow from Portland to Bellingham (along with Victoria and the east side of the island).

AbbyJr wrote: Mon Feb 15, 2021 12:03 pm Yup. It was actually really close to something memorable and possibly historic. So close but another fail. :bang:

January 2020 was also close to being something way better than what actually verified. Its tough when we are so close to something memorable and it falls apart on us.
Jan 2020 was better than this time. Not as much snow for me, but nobody north of Seattle really got screwed and it had colder temperatures and dry, squeaky snow.

Some people up this way didn’t even get 10 cm. Was not a very memorable event for them.

How did you feel about January 2020?

ICON did the best for the entire event from start to finish, even for last night was showing pure rain where the other models were throwing inches of snow around..

Were there no events in the months I listed above that met that criteria?
