I picked up 1 cm overnight. Currently mixed snow and rain. 15 cm fell up at Cypress though! Long range continues to look good.

Looks like a bunch of BS out there. Yet snowfall warning still in effect with snow levels 0 to 200m.

Sounds like you didn’t get much overnight.

Sux that you move to Burnaby Mountain in one of the more disappointing years for snowfall there. I think I’ve received more snow down here near sea level in Bellingham! Strange winter.

Bet you’ll fare better next winter… or even next month.

I woke up to 1-2cm of slush.

This is ridiculous given most models had between 10-15cm. Apparently the models are failed once again. :bang:

To be honest, when it was near +1 and +2C in most regions at midnight, I figured a couple cm of slush would be the result. Nito was right. :bravo:

Well considering the winter it has been it hasn’t been terrible by my low elevation experience in life lol. This weekend i saw 20 cm or so. dec 21 saw about 10 cm and have had a few 2-3 cm “events”. Seems like a typical so so year. If I was still living below I would no doubt be super disappointed.

Westwood Plateau got mostly rain and is +2C. A narrow area from South Surrey to Aldergrove for 1-3cm. Seems to indicate residual dry air seeped out from the Valley and helped bring snow levels down along the lower lying areas

RGEM and HRRR had the general idea but insisted on a brief event. No idea where EC got 10-15cm from.

Send it our way. We get 40cm and don’t see a plow for a week. When it snows 1cm he is there the next morning. :dunno: :dunno:

Then you’re somewhere in the high 30’s for your snowfall total and still ahead of me.

Yuck. The models are really going wet and much milder in the mid range. Storm track aims north after Wednesday.

Alaska gets COLD. Next potential is 10-15 days away...cold Alaska is a good start.

I find it hilarious that Environment Canada issues snowfall warning for everyone but us and yet no one gets any of what was forecasted, and we get no warnings at all and it is puking snow here! This is when living in Squamish pays off in these scenarios, it paid off in the end!

Seems to happen quite frequently in that area. First time I experienced it was about 25 years ago. Snowing and starting to stick in Nanaimo, wet snow that turned to rain in Vancouver by the time I got out of the city. Then I’m driving past Delta on Highway 99 and “That’s odd, the shoulder of the road looks like it is turning white. And why are those raindrops on the edge of my windshield not moving? Uh-oh.”

Everything was an icy mess until just north of Ferndale. By the time I was passing through Bellingham it was +4ËšC and raining.
