They just issued one for Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Langley and Surrey. All other areas in Van are under warning criteria 2-5 cms.

Closer look at the 00Z 3km NAM. It’s decent.

Starts running at 945pm. Then it all depends on how quick the various sites (WxBell, Tropical Tidbits, etc) can retrieve the data from the server.

Yup. The 00Z Euro has 925mb temps around -1 in the afternoon.

AbbyJr wrote: Mon Feb 18, 2019 9:03 pm When was the last time we saw a major overrunning snow event that was followed by freezing rain and then heavy rain?

The last time I remember was December 2, 2007. During that event, 30cm of snow fell followed by freezing rain and eventually to heavy rain.

Temperature went from 0.1C to 15.2C in 24 hours. Even crazier, during the transition it went from 2.5C to 11C in 1 hour.
Going from memory...For more recent events, you may want to check out early Jan 2009, late November 2010 and late Feb 2011.

Crazy to think our last major overrunning event may have been back in 2011. They used to be basically a slam dunk for us every winter.
