Every time I think the lingering snow showers are done, more seem to pop up over me on the radar. Not accumulating very fast, mind you, but it is still accumulating. Now up to 19 cm and counting.
Same here still light snowfall.
00z NAM has the heaviest snow 7-8 am Monday morning.

How about 97 to 03? Edit: I guess they weren't as bad as I thought after reading those totals. But regardless..
I think our climate sucks more due to human caused global warming and other environmental factors like the heat island effect. We still can squeeze some decent events out of it. And every once in a while we might get something great.
But I think its the exception now. The 50s were a half a degree ago globally which sounds small but it isn't. Our cold is much more moderate and much more rare. Therefore snow totals should be expected to decrease with time.
Agreed.
Stating "we've had some major wins lately" is extremely relative though. Just wanted to clarify that.

Yes. Let me be clear: this winter climate sucks donkey doo doo now. I'm just trying to celebrate whatever good is left of it. I honestly wasn't sure if our climate was capable of snow after that brutal 2014-2016 stretch. But I was being way pessimistic.
But most places with previously cold winters are saying that too including the CONUS. Its always relative.

We shall see how tenacious the cold air is. It is often more tenacious than forecast, but on the other hand Bellingham is exposed to the south and west and can scour out really quickly given the right winds.
The other thing is, the models promise incredible stuff only for us to see run of the mill results. It can spoil things a bit, this is still a nice February event. It just doesn't come close to the craziness that we get teased with.

It is called the Goofus for a reason. (also see my tagline)
Snow has finally petered out. Topped out at 10.5 cm
Temperature keeps dipping though, now -1.4°
Maybe the skies will somewhat clear tonight? Which would open the door for even lower temps.

So you're now up to 16 in the contest. Time to update your tagline!

It's done here as well. Some clear sky overhead. Just went for a ride and the roads are desaster.
