Perfect timing for that band. Should lose enough solar by then to aid accumulation.
The latest one shows snow redeveloping from now on.
Back to moderate snow with bigger flakes.

Went for a nice walk. Snow is ankle deep up here so guessing 10 to 12 cm. Snow was super squeaky. Sun sorta came out but snow was still falling, albeit lighter. Flakes are gaining size once the precip cuts off. Bastards. Still really nice though! Met expectations overall.

Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m. .
Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Still snowing but generally starting to taper off now. 16 cm (determined by finding a spot minimally affected by drifting/scouring and averaging multiple measurements). May score a little bit more but that's probably close to what the overall total will end up being.
Neighborhoods in the hills are reporting more like 20 cm. So my Reddit forecast of 15–20 cm for Bellingham looks like it will be spot-on!
It's called clown range for a reason.

Still pretty light here in North Van. I can see downtown Vancouver from here (although not clear view).
Hope it picks up soon.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

There's a banana belt extending from lower Coquitlam (Braid Station area) to POCO and east to Pitt Meadows. I used to live near the Ikea and it was terrible for snow. Another bad area is Langley City. IMO, all of those areas are actually worse than Abby.
Yup..Catnip Hill extracts all the snow and surrounding radius of 5kms seems to suffer for snow.
I notice that Port Moody north of Catnip..near sea level seems to outdo many other similar elevation areas.
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!
