Watching the weather should not be this stressful. I'm swearing off radar loops until 11 PM

The fen is so shallow as well, in the summer it mostly dries up. Canal skating in the Netherlands is happening this week. On a side note it takes guts and skill to parallel park there.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 7:30 pm Yeah, this cold snap is over just a little too soon. If it had gone on for a week, smaller ponds should have been skateable.
January 2017 was so consistently cold that not only ponds but some lakes became skateable.

That really helps. If only this cold snap had gone on for a few more days.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
People were already skating on the ponds and small local lakes by the second week of December '16 here. Just after Christmas the larger lakes became skateable until the warmup in mid/late Jan.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 7:30 pm Yeah, this cold snap is over just a little too soon. Yup, he used to post here back in the day.
I think Nito scared him off.
