Before the energy splits, I would say the cluster is further North than the 12z.

Agree.PortKells wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 5:30 pm I'll agree with you on this aspect: The thing that makes snow suck is humans. People unable to drive in it but still choose to. People who put salt all over the place regardless of environmental impact. Etc. Or just the fact that we have to go to work in the morning regardless. Gotta keep that economy churning. Gotta keep busses sliding all over the place.
If snow was just a thing you could walk through on a peaceful country lane then I think most people would love it. Snow makes everything equal. Nobody's yard is nicer than anybody elses, its all the same. But yeah icy sidewalks suck. I supported individuals in wheelchairs and getting them around on icy slush is insane and I feel bad for people on wheels.
I was so much better in Belleville. Sidewalks were shoveled. People either stayed home or maintained better gap control when driving. You would get a few large snowfalls then be able to walk around and enjoy the scenic landscape. Here...you walk out into a puddle of slush and have either cold rain or drip slush from the trees fall on your moldy smelling umbrella.

The three feet of snow he will soon get will damage it.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
When I lived on 27th and Nanaimo during 2016/2017 I saw some crazy stuff. One time I walked past a guy who was trying to get his car going so he was gunning it on the spot but his tires just spun on the ice. Walked up to the liquor store on Kingsway, come back 20 minutes later and he was STILL spinning on the spot. I wouldn't dream of trying to help him because he was a danger to society IMO.
Another time I saw that spot on 29th ave as it dips down to Nanaimo completely shut down. Must've been 8 to 10 cars slid into each other and into parked cars there.
In a different spot near Knight and King Ed I tried to help a driver who couldn't make it up an icy street by telling them to turn around. They couldn't speak english so they just kept trying and eventually slid backwards into a parked car.
To be fair the streets were utterly treacherous that year. Must've been at least close to the record for most ice days in the city. And it came off of two snowless years which made people even more unprepared and cocky that it would never snow again.

Snow canceled Kristi Gordon said maybe no snow, then said don't put away your toboggans.
