Yeah.
Pretty unlucky really. With all that snow on the ground... we could have seen some very impressive mins last year especially had skies cleared.

I doubt it clears out much at all during this event on the South Island. I’m imagining nothing but clouds and periods of flurries or snow the next 5 days.
It has eased off now. Ended up with 3cm

Our climate still beats Seattle’s. Think they only got down to -4˚C or so last winter.
It's called clown range for a reason.
