Yeah, I watched Whatcom/LM weather from afar for years before moving to this climate. The cold air can be stubborn and last longer than forecast. The same scenario can lead to ice storms, which can be prolonged and severe in the eastern Fraser Valley.
It's called clown range for a reason.

NE winds have picked up in Ladner, -2.0c/-7 dp. Probably going to be difficult to get much moisture over here now as it continues to dry out. Looks good for EVI on the radar

Woke up to a nice surprise snow flurry. It lasted about 30 minutes, which was nice. With the wind it was falling sideways. It's stopped now but left a white coating on everything. So dry it's just blowing around and gathering up in places. If only all of winter was like this.

* Edit - Looks like MOST is evaporating.

Ideally want that low to weaken and draw closer to the coast. The Interior high seems to be too strong. LM and Fraser Valley does better if that high weakens a bit. Too far offshore and stronger low means more outflow and less precip.

How about closer to the coast and stronger, crossing thru Washington state.

Probably slightly higher totals then modelled due to a higher snow ratio.

Look at the intensification on the VIS imagry

This could overperform for Southern Van Island and Puget Sound.
