Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I'm not "excited" about any of this snow until it's actually snowing. I haven't had anything since Dec 21 except a few traces of snow.
On another note, many people in the radio industry just lost their jobs today. TSN 1040 is no more.

Looking to be a shortened version of 2019. Nice region wide event. South scores first, then you guys score later in the weekend!

That’s generally how the good regionwide totals happen.SouthHillFrosty wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 10:56 am Looking to be a shortened version of 2019. Nice region wide event. South scores first, then you guys score later in the weekend!
It's called clown range for a reason.

Looks good. I’m in the edge of the whitish colour. Snow is white so that’s a good sign.

Bit worried that maps are underdoing precip. 30cm-50cm this weekend? Near blizzard conditions for the Valley with strong outflow and a potential brief icing for E Metro Van.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
T3, Monty, Nito, this is a question for you. With that west-southwesterly track on the Saturday system, could we expect precipitation enhancement in the Victoria area from north easterlies meeting the westerly flow?

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Puntzi Mnt in the Chilcotin was forecast at something like -33 and hit -40, so ya, some pretty big misses today! Clinton seems to take the cake
though.
EDIT: actually, Clinton has two stations, and the "airport" is close to 10 degrees colder in the mornings this time of year. I believe the forecast for Clinton is actually at the other station (CLINTON RCS), so not as big a miss as it seems.

Mud?
Kidding, only my dog likes to eat the sheep poo-cicles.
But it is nice to have that mud freeze out here, it's been way too muddy for way too long.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
The trend from run to run is fairly astounding. I wish it was during the week so we could get a long long weekend out of it.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 11:20 am Bit worried that maps are underdoing precip. 30cm-50cm this weekend?
