Those are cool! Reminds me of the sailing stones in Death Valley NP.

Well sunny here now, blue sky with fluffy white clouds.

You bet , that was my winning ticket for grabbing the 1st annual Over the Hill Winter Classic Championship.
I'm hoping that this cold stretch is cold and long enough to freeze the little lake I discovered in South Langley and dust off the old skates.

Appears that the 18z is a bit further South for the end of the week system.

I once saw a graupel/snow shower begin falling at a temp of 10ËšC in May in the Rockies from this sort of phenomenon.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Abby_wx wrote: Mon Feb 08, 2021 1:10 pm I have to disagree; I would personally enjoy experiencing some extreme cold for our climate. We have to keep in mind that everything is relative to the climo for our area, including snowfall. We don't compare our snowfall to Whistler's, so we shouldn't compare our "extreme" cold to the Cariboo or other places that get colder. You might as well compare us to Nunavut.

The entire point of this hobby, at least in my opinion, is to be interested in anomalous weather... cold, snowfall, wind, rain, heat. It's all relative to our local climo.
Don't get me wrong....I love the cold. I just have preferences that are slightly different. Still love that -10 powdery snow like nothing else.

Looking to my west I can see huge wisps of I guess, graupel falling from the sky. I tried to take a photo but it over exposes to bright so you can't see it. Looks like it's headed towards South Guildford area or so.
