A 2019 scenario again would suck. Cold and dry is useless to me outside of skating on our pond.
I have to disagree; I would personally enjoy experiencing some extreme cold for our climate. We have to keep in mind that everything is relative to the climo for our area, including snowfall. We don't compare our snowfall to Whistler's, so we shouldn't compare our "extreme" cold to the Cariboo or other places that get colder. You might as well compare us to Nunavut.

The entire point of this hobby, at least in my opinion, is to be interested in anomalous weather... cold, snowfall, wind, rain, heat. It's all relative to our local climo.

Weak outflow (modified arctic air pushing west). Convection pushing east. Hmm. Maybe!

Enough model runs have shown a trace to 5cm falling here with the arctic front Wednesday that this is my forecast right now.

We’ve had about 15-20 minutes of graupel/snow here on the west side . Just winding up.
* spoke too soon. Really picking up and accumulating in last few minutes.
