When do these arctic outflow winds come? Usually Squamish is howling with them. I guess the front is not here yet? Global news doesn't even mention windâ€Â♀ï¸Â
Some light outflow tomorrow, but you'll probably start to notice it by Tuesday evening into Wednesday.

18Z GFS hinted at a reload in the long range. But we all know how reliable the long range has been this winter.
If memory serves me right I think in 08 the forecasters kept getting surprised with the arctic reloads after every snowfall.
Edit: Looking at the meteogram again, it looks like winds are mostly calm when the snow is falling but become gusty as the precipitation eases and shuts off.
00Z RGEM shows blizzard conditions in the valley Wednesday morning with 10cm of snow and NE winds around 50 km/h while the snow is falling. WeatherPro!!!

Yup. That event went on longer then initially expected if I understand and recall correctly. Models kept trying to warm us up too soon. Fairly common.

Judging by the 18z RGEM, there'll be a pullback. It was less aggressive in retrograding the PV lobe into AB and eastern BC by Wednesday.

With arctic outflow winds hopefully lower mainlanders get some of that.

Yeah and they're usually right 99.9% of the time for warming us up. Love it when the .1% verifies. #surprises
